Soprano Erin O’Rourke, is an award-winning operatic soprano and concert recitalist. She has performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Juilliard Orchestra, Juilliard 415, New Amsterdam Orchestra, and the renowned Verbier Festival Orchestra. Ms. O’Rourke participated in the 2023 Laffont Metropolitan Opera Competition. Placing 1st in the NY District and 2nd in the Eastern Regionals

The New York native graduated in 2023 with her Masters in Vocal Arts from The Juilliard School. She studied under the tutelage of soprano, Amy Burton. There, she worked with acclaimed directors John Giampetro, Mary Birnbaum, and Steven Wadsworth. Notable performances include  Purcell’s King Arthur under Maestro Lionel Meunier with Juilliard 415, Seven Early Songs by Berg at Alice Tully Hall with Juilliard Orchestra, and Nella in Juilliard Opera’s production of Gianni Schicchi. 

In 2023, she was announced as one of the prestigious Gerdine Young Artists at Opera Theatre of St. Louis. There, she covered the title role of Susannah in Patricia Racette’s production by Carlisle Floyd. Afterwards, she traveled to Switzerland to join the world renowned Atelier Lyrique at the Verbier Festival. There she performed recitals with distinguished pianist, James Ballieu. 

Her past opera credits include her Raylynmor Opera debut as Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff and her New Amsterdam Opera debut covering the lead role of Anna in Boïeldieu’s La dame blanche. Much of her work has specialized in early and baroque music which led Ms. O’Rourke to Chicago Summer Opera Company. She performed the title role in L'incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi.

Ms. O’Rourke carries a passion for art song. She performed in multiple concerts focusing on female composers Madeleine Dring and Lili Boulanger. Erin performed these in curated Liederabende at Alice Tully Hall and at the Juilliard School. She has also performed concert works with Juilliard’s Focus Festival under Dr. Joel Sachs, which the NYT highlighted as “Broadway Mets Avant-garde.” She made her Lincoln Center debut in the CPE Bach concert festival at the Bruno Walter Theater.

Ms. O’Rourke is now pursuing her artist diploma at the Royal Academy of Music in London. There she is studying under the tutelage of Susan Waters. Upcoming performances include Ariodante, as the role of Dalinda, and concert work with the touring orchestra; Juilliard 415. In March, she will perform the role of Lady Billows in Albert Herring.
